1. MC has a salted fish mentality.I feel that his grand parents poisoned him with their ideologies although they are good people, their ideologies became his shackles(if a person has let us say maybe some space in his mind for ideology,here the mc's space is filled with his grandparents ideologies and he thinks he doesn't need any other changes and fixes with them so no changeS in that space and becomes salted fish more importanlty he doesnt have his own ideas for critica decisions at critical decisons or moments he remembers his grandparents words and always bitter in his head mc which makes us readers dislike him even more).for an immortal cultivation novel I feel that the MC doesn't have any zeal for cultivation. he doesn't seek dao. If he doesn't understand anything,he skips the thought.mc is the same as main character in alchemist of harry Potter Novel so much salted fish.I have read many cultivation novels. I think cultivation people must have the bearing of a cultivator. kindness is good. I thought MC has less nationalism.it becomes something like (family'ism) most modern cultivation MC have guarding loved ones mentality so they cultivate like for the loved ones.I think for these characters to succeed either they have hatred or great comprehension or big plot Armour.I think a good cultivating must not respect heaven,nation or anything.I see in many urban cultivation novels.mc comes from other world after hundreds of years and they respect parents too much and love female lead too much. I don't understand what respect general of country or anything.I think an immortal emperor Getting stabbed by brother or lover during heavenly tribulation or heart tribulation failure.I think their cultivation is a sham and they are losers. they going to immortal world is a gold finger but they fail and come back to earth. they behave like 'novea-rich' cultivator(here richness is cultivation experience and skills)they think that I can have a fresh start with all my experience and look down on all local people (cultivators on earth).I think that is a serious flaw in character for a great person.I think because of plot Armour or golden finger they have cultivated that much. (((except maybe rebirth crazy immortal novel).maybe because heavenly dao is little humane in that novel.we can say if he crazily sacrifices life span multiple times)).I just can't understand if one cannot see through life and death how can they cultivate to immortal emperor or something levelwhat dao and what else.I think people or immmortals may not live with revengful thoughts for so many hundred of years which they are virtually unable to achieve as they don't know they will go back after crossing tribulation failure.I saw one novel recently in that MC fears wife leaving him how ridiculous are his thoughts I mean he becomes decadent thinking that wife divorces him.these kind of things occur because of mixing urban romance with cultivation making seemingly good but fixed pattern stories with different names and scenes.I am not criticising anyone.it is not worth criticising but if we have some having fantasy like cultivation. those novels are ruining it.I don't understand.I think the best cultivation novel I read is martial world.of course there is golden finger for MC but MC doesn't have fluke mentality. when in danger modern cultivation novel.mc remembers parents, lover etc waiting for him but a MC like Lin ming remembers his goal which is peak of dao. of course Lin Ming has fetters for humanity divine realm but in the end he repaid karma and left the universe for sheng mei. may be he loves sheng mei and other wives and children that is his may be only fetters at the peak. talisman emperor chenxi is also a great mc. galaxy shattering blade mc is also great though his fetters are too much but his seeking dao heart is great. After spending thousand years in the immortal world MCs of modern cultivation novels have eye over their heads.
