  2. So I have read till chapter 447 and my current rating would be 4/10. It only even gets a 4 because of the interesting premise. First problem I ran into is the fact is trying to criticize other novel tropes and pay to win games. The issue with this is that the author fails fantastically to consider double standards or the fact that he analysis is really one sided. I have heard how in China there are a lot of bot farmers but I have never heard of p2w games being this prevalent. Even if they were prevalent their problem wasn't the p2w but the bot problem (look at Lost Ark). The whole excuse that bad money drives out good money stands true only because people allow it to do so. It is not a natural phenomenon for p2w games to be prevalent unless either the government forces it to be that way or the players actually enjoy p2w games. Just look what is happening with Diablo Immortal. Blizzard lost any rep it had left with that disgusting game. You are also telling me that the alliance can't crack down on ads that don't conform to what they are advertising ? Especially given the high tech of the Alliance it is should have been as easy it can get. Celebrities wouldn't dare to accept such ad commissions. Such ads using celebrities don't only rely on the rep of the celebs but the trust that the fan base has to the celeb. When some people realize that they are fake the celebs rep and trust are gonna tank. Then that celeb is finished. Author complaining other novels are unrealistic and that the authors mold reality in order to fit the protagonist is quite laughable when he does the very same thing but trying to white wash it as something realistic. The next hilarious thing is that the author claimed that China was the safest country prior to the Alliance. What a joke. We are talking about the same country that promotes corruption among its officials so they can manipulate the more easily. Or that government that is more interested in staying in power than actually improving their own country. I bet that Winie the Pooh is more willing to self destruct that country than get dethroned. The author also mentioned that there was no organized crime prior to the Alliance in China XD. The Triad is one of the most known criminal organization in the world. Then we have the author talking down on other protagonists. It seems to me that the protagonists he is talking down to are from novels that don't even manage to get into web novel's trial reads. Imagine how bad they must be. Then he equates every other novel to them. Completely dellusional. The worst part is that his own MC does the exactly same things and sometimes he is even worse. Decisive killing ? Check. Project your morals to others ? (How he treats others that swindled him. Objectively he is more scum than them given the damage and pain he did. The worst part is that he hides behind his "mission" of saving the world). Check. Playing the hero of justice when it is in favor to his ambiguous morality ? Check. The hypocricy is oozing from this whole trope of showing how other novels are bad and unrealistic. Though I do admit he was right in some of them. Now the most funny thing about all this is ? It is the fact that if you try to excuse the author by pulling the card that it is a differnt world thus it must have different rules and cultures , you are making his whole ridicule which is pretty much half the plot nonsensical. Something that I despise a lot is when authors paint certain behaviours of the MC as good or as excusable. Funnily even this author brings it up. Too bad he does the same thing. The MC clamours constantly how the "Other World" is a real world and how important it is to play in it in order to acquire power in the chaotic future world. Too bad he doesn't hesitate to destroy the future of others in the name of justice and saving the world or mentally rape and torture them. It gets even worse when his cadre reasons that the others desrved it (when did something that is the norm in their world) and that he is really gentle (the MC). Oh please. You can barely consider him lawful evil. When I say lawful I mean more like his own laws if they don't match those around him then too bad. The fact that he doesn't break other native laws has more to do with the fact that he has no capital to do so. That doesn't he respects and follows them. If given the chance he would break them constantly. This novel is the very manifestation of the Chinese spirit. Being hypocrital and a scumbag. As long as you are not caught its okay to do anything. Even if you get caught as long as you have the figuratively bigger fist (we humans are physically weak) then you are right. I feel pitty for those that agree with the author. They are lying to themselves in order for their world to not crumble down. Such individuals are too pitifull. Anyway all though the whole "Other World" premise is interesting the author ruins it with his Chinese numbah one shenanigans.
