After reading all the comments I thought this novel would be terrible, but it's actually fairly decent. The author does mess with some of the so-called canon and lore, but he ties it together reasonably well and makes the story work. I would say this is among the better half of Naruto / x fanfics I've read. The romance and some of the character development is quite lackluster I have to say.
