Hello, I'm looking for a story, I only remember a little of the synopsis, it looks like FL crossed into the 20th century from 1970/1980, as far as I remember FL became an actress and she liked to eat, when she ate meat she was amazed because the meat in her time was tastier than today. I really want to read it 🥹, and I also want to ask you to recommend some novels about cooking or food and so on, thank you for your attention :)
It started good but it gets boring with draggy plot and repetitive... Introduced too many characters only to have them disappeared after 20 chapters... I'm at 825 and considering to drop it.

Who's the male lead?
Like in all these novels, it is the guy who is "mysterious for the sake of being mysterious" when he is introduced. The guy who can tell she is a girl from the get go. As with all ML's of his type he will probably turn out to be; super-powerful, super-noble, mysterious instead of interesting, aloof from all women except the female lead.
The man she will reveal her powers to even though she has just met him and despite her earlier fervent desire to hide her powers lol
Their's 2 male lead here. But its still the same person. Well it was a split Soul.
This is one of my favorite fantasy novel,it is because of the beginning is good there no too many drama with other girls. Maybe because she was crossdressing. Also is that her companion, i like this story the most because she was not alone, shes with friend and family along the journey. Actually I just got a little bit bored at 2k plus because she getting stronger and the friends are bieng left behind its more on developing there romance and finding the family. But still its good for me. Can any one recommend something like this where the protagonist has companions like a family. Oh i remember it, theres also the black bellied doctor. Its also good.

Does the Grand-father have a legitimate reason for forcing her to act as a boy? And i mean a bloody real legitimate reason, not a piss-weak vague "for your safety" reason. Because in the first few chapters he is coming off as straight up awful.
Well the grandfather actually don't know why, but her real father is his family's savior, and thats her fathers request (to let her dressed up as a man.. When you get to 800 plus you will understand why.
And is she going to have actual female friends? Novels where a heroine starts off with only brothers and a grand-father/father tend to turn out to be novels where the female protag only makes male friends, which makes them as bad as male protag novels where the ML is chasing a harem of 10+ women.
She actually has 1 girlfriend here. And after rescuing here grandfather and brother's she will have more girl companion, but still more on boys (with here brother too.) What I like in this novel is that the companionship and thier adventures together, I just feel like I was with them throughout the journey. After 2000 it just all about her so i just drop it at 2500 plus. But I still red this twice.
I have reached chapter 600 and i like it for the most part (dislike the ML though as "mysterious" is never a good replacement for "interesting"). BUT other than "bei gong tang" every other female companion is much lesser than any male companion she picks up even if the female companion is more interesting. There are so many male companions that most do not even have personalities. Her four brothers are a great example - none of them are distinct from each other.
The problem is that there's too many characters here. Maybe thats the reason why they dont have that much distinctive personality. The friends, the brothers, and the cousin's, also the elders. Well for me it doesn't matter 🙂 i just enjoyed my journey throughout the story.
