I wish the autor make Lihao too and have More regret so he doesn’t feel so righteous toward his horrible mother.

Just re-read this story and - yes, it is long and slow moving. It takes place over 20 years in their present and about 29 years in the alternate past. Still a good, complex story. More like Story of Minglan than Malicious Empress even though there is a lot of harsh inter family fighting. I loved the Aldo translated authors notes where they admitted, “Hey, I looked this (historical disaster) up in Wikipedia, don’t complain!”
Drop at 56. Typical rebirth story but the dialogue and general plot are amateurish. Has typical issue of how all minor characters depend on mc to solve their issues without using their own brains at all. The ML is fine, typical smart black-bellied future wife slave set-up. I just can't quite get into the mc and her general behavior in this supposedly historical setting.
Long , very interesting rebirth novel.yes, tons of place intrigue but also military and family life details. This is one I’d love to see turned into a movie.
