Sigh. The MC - Gong Yu - has zero redeeming features. She's literally the worst fit possible for a historical novel - the type who just leaves everything to luck and latches onto the strong around her for protection. In this case that just happens to Dai Ruyan (FL). There's nothing about the MC that stands out, that makes you like her, root for her. MC's so weak, and dependent on the FL for everything that it's not even romantic anymore, it's like the relationship between a child and her mother. Don't even get me started on the bland romance, the couple literally get along like siblings...there's no 'romantic vibe' between them. In the end the characters are one-dimensional (especially MC) and everything else about the setting is at best a parody.
Why so much yuri… -_-

if it's like what u said, my happiness will pass down until the last bit of my descendants—if there ever will be. but sadly, u r wrong. don't get me started with those low-quality-trying to ride the hype-but no soul at all lily/yuri/gl stories. good ones are so little in number that it's pitiful.
